Haypost and the Ministry Comment on News of Barring Unvaccinated Individuals from Haypost

One of the media outlets today cited a source close to the Government, stating that the Ministry of Health is actively discussing the possibility of banning unvaccinated citizens from entering Haypost branches. According to the source, by prohibiting the entry of unvaccinated individuals into Haypost, the government aims to protect pensioners from infection.

Auroranews contacted the press department of Haypost to clarify whether such discussions are taking place, and if so, when the restriction would come into effect. Haypost responded that they do not have such information, therefore there are currently no discussions ongoing and they cannot comment on the information regarding the restriction.

Auroranews also reached out to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Hripsime Khachatryan. She noted that as indicated, new restrictions are planned to be implemented starting in December, specifically allowing entry into public places only with a negative PCR test result or if individuals are vaccinated. This is still a draft that is in the discussion stage. Regarding Haypost, she stated that specific restrictions for this institution have not been discussed yet. However, should the restrictions come into effect in December, they may similarly apply to Haypost.
