35-Year-Old Woman Threatens Pharmacy Employee with Kitchen Knife in Armavir, Steals 159,000 Dram
The investigation into a robbery committed by a 35-year-old resident of Armavir against pharmacy employees has concluded at the Armavir regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee.
According to the information and public relations department of the RA Investigative Committee, as a result of necessary investigative actions and measures carried out in cooperation with the employees of the RA Police, significant circumstances and motives of the incident have been clarified.
The investigation established sufficient evidence proving that on October 14, 2021, due to accumulated debts in the store, the mentioned 35-year-old woman entered a pharmacy located on Shahumyan street in Armavir with the intention of committing a significant theft by means of robbery. By displaying a kitchen knife, she created a real threat to the health of the pharmacy employee, demanding and receiving a significant sum of 159,000 AMD available in the cash register before fleeing the scene.
Subsequently, believing that the stolen amount was insufficient to settle her debt, she entered another pharmacy owned by the same company on the same street, displaying the same kitchen knife as a weapon and threatening the pharmacy employee by directing it at her abdomen. She demanded all the money available in the cash register. When the employee refused her demands, she continued her threatening actions and personally opened the cash register, stealing a substantial amount of 59,000 AMD before fleeing.
Based on the combination of sufficient evidence obtained, the 35-year-old woman has been charged under part 4 of Article 175 of the RA Criminal Code, and a preventive measure of detention has been applied to her. The investigation has been completed, and the criminal case has been forwarded to the court with an accusatory conclusion.
