Truck and Volkswagen Collide in Shirak Province: Casualty Reported

Today, on November 9, a major traffic accident occurred in Shirak Province. Around 1:30 PM, on the 99 km section of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, a collision took place under still unclear circumstances between a Volkswagen Polo driven by 46-year-old Armenuhi Mshchetsyan and a MAZ truck driven by 53-year-old Vazgen Avagyan.

According to reports from a photojournalist, as a result of the accident, the driver A. Mshchetsyan was transported to Gyumri Medical Center with bodily injuries. Firefighters disconnected the power supply to the Volkswagen, closed the gas cylinder valve, and secured the area.

Traffic police services arrived promptly at the scene. Materials regarding the incident are being prepared.
