Russian peacekeeping command investigates incident near Shushi, Ministry of Defense of Russia
The command of the Russian peacekeeping force is conducting a joint investigation with the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides regarding an incident that occurred in the Shushi region.
This was announced in a report from the Russian Ministry of Defense dated November 9.
“One ceasefire violation was recorded in the responsibility zone of the Russian peacekeeping force. On November 8, the working group of Nagorno-Karabakh was shelled by Azerbaijani forces in the vicinity of Shushi, resulting in three injuries and one fatality. The command of the Russian peacekeeping force is conducting an investigation into the incident in cooperation with the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides,” the report states.
It is reminded that on November 8, the Azerbaijani side shelled citizens of Artsakh who were working on water supply in the vicinity of the occupied fortress city of Shushi. Four citizens were transferred to a hospital in Stepanakert, one of whom died.
