Russian Peacekeepers Are Not Functioning: Residents of Hadrut Protest
We face casualties almost every week in Artsakh. I am a resident of Hadrut, and if I were in Artsakh right now, I would personally take to the streets and demand that the Russian peacekeepers fulfill their obligations. This was stated by Ira Tamrazyan during a protest action that began in front of the government building a short while ago, speaking with reporters. The publication writes:
“This is yet another game by Azerbaijan and Turkey. I know what they want. They want to intimidate the people of Artsakh so that it becomes deserted, but know that Artsakh will never become deserted. I personally believe that we all must soon be in our Artsakh, together with our residents. The fact is that the Russian peacekeepers are not functioning. I call on all Armenians to go to the Russian embassy and demand that they make it so that their peacekeepers start working. Why was there no Russian presence yesterday at the site where our boys were digging and merely needed to run water?”
“We, the residents of Hadrut and Shushi, are convinced that the time will come when we will return to our homeland and live in peace. One of the purposes of our gathering here is to show the world how Azerbaijan continues its murderous activities,” added the protest participant.
