Government Entrusts Personnel and Appointments at Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum to a Member of the ruling Party
Recently, Deputy Prime Minister Suren Papikyan and Head of the Prime Minister's Office Arayik Harutyunyan were on a working visit in Syunik, during which they visited the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine. According to information received, on the same day the government made a decision that regardless of who is appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine, the issue of personnel and appointments will be handled by David Danielyan, a candidate from the ruling party in Kapan.
This indicates that prior to the elections in Kapan, the government is providing leverage to its candidate to help him gather votes and achieve a desired victory for the government. Additionally, it is noted that hundreds of residents of Kapan currently work at the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine, depending on this job to support their families. Thus, their voting in the upcoming Kapan local government elections will determine whether they continue to work at the combine or not.
According to further information, David Danielyan is even making promises to the residents of Kapan during this period, stating that he will create new job opportunities for them. However, it is also possible that in the event of losing the elections, Danielyan may seek revenge on the residents of Kapan by dismissing many of them from their jobs at the copper-molybdenum combine.
