Azerbaijani Special Services Attempted to Collect Personal Data of Artsakh Citizens
The citizens of the Republic of Artsakh are again urged to refrain from communication with suspicious or unfamiliar users on social networks and to avoid sharing information. In cases of encountering such situations, they should immediately report to the National Security Service (NSS) of Artsakh. This was stated in a message released by the Artsakh Prosecutor's Office.
"As previously reported, Azerbaijani special services or their representatives regularly attempt to involve Artsakh users in various processes on social networks through various tricks, aiming to extract information from them, gauge public sentiments, and assess opinions on certain issues. Yesterday, a report was submitted to the Artsakh Prosecutor's Office indicating that representatives of Azerbaijani special services threatened a citizen of the Republic of Artsakh who was active on social media with murder and revenge, providing information during this period that suggests they had previously collected personal data about the Artsakh citizen.
This report has been forwarded to the NSS of Artsakh for consideration in accordance with the procedures established by criminal procedural legislation.
Once again, we urge the citizens of the Republic of Artsakh to refrain from communication with suspicious or unfamiliar users on social networks and to avoid sharing information. In cases of encountering such situations, they should immediately report to the NSS of Artsakh," the message reads.
