114 Captives Returned: Government Responds to the 'Armenia' Faction
The 'Joghourd' newspaper reports that Armenia's Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Narek Mkrtchyan, has sent a response to the 'Armenia' faction regarding their inquiry, which is set to be discussed in parliament.
The inquiry contains answers to six questions posed by the opposition faction in the National Assembly. For instance, one of the questions sought to determine the number of individuals relocated from Artsakh to Armenia. According to the response, the number of displaced persons from Artsakh at the end of the war amounted to over 91,000.
Additionally, the opposition faction requested information on the number of individuals who were killed, missing, taken captive, or wounded and disabled during the most recent war in Artsakh. The Ministry quoted data provided by the Investigative Committee, which indicates that the total number of military personnel and civilians who were killed, missing, and captured in Artsakh and Armenia as a result of the war is 3,712 soldiers killed, 76 civilians, 222 missing soldiers, 21 civilians, with 37 soldiers and 3 civilians taken captive.
Furthermore, it was noted that to date, the Republic of Azerbaijan has handed over a total of 114 captured soldiers and civilians to the Republic of Armenia.
