We Assume the Authorities Have Something to Hide Regarding the Contact Line: Mamijanyan
The capitulator wants to assign blame, and to all those who during this time said not to speak against the capitulator, it will soon be proven that they were wrong. This was stated by the Secretary of the "Honorary Title" faction of the National Assembly, Hayk Mamijanyan, during a conversation with reporters in the Freedom Square, referring to the statements made by Nikol Pashinyan during his interview on Public Television regarding the army.
According to Mamijanyan, Nikol Pashinyan was not giving an interview but presenting a web of lies. "During the capitulation, I urge citizens, current and former officials regarding the treacherous actions, not to harbor hopes that they have agreements with Nikol. Nikol has no concept of agreements and will betray them at any moment, so it's better to speak the truth," stated the deputy.
He noted that since this power came to be, it has been busy dismantling the army, and there are no tangible positive reforms. The deputy mentioned that the opposition members assume that the authorities have something to hide regarding the contact line, which is why they do not allow his parliamentary colleague Tigran Abrahamyan to make a border tour, while the government deputies visit the contact line.
Regarding the creation of a parliamentary commission to investigate the circumstances of the 44-day war, the deputy stated that the accomplices cannot investigate the crimes. "What sense does it make for the authorities to create a commission when all state apparatus is in their hands—the investigators, the security forces? The investigative committee is, after all, a tool of the opposition. Not only are they the initiators, aiming to assign blame through this channel, but now they are also trying to involve their extra-parliamentary allies," he said.
Mamijanyan also addressed the question of whether it was too late to announce the beginning of public resistance and hold rallies. "It's not that the opposition has done nothing for a year; it has started now after a year. This marks the beginning of another phase. Those citizens who have dignity, who love their homeland, do not agree with the miserable future of Armenia; they have no deadlines. They do everything within their power, from street protests to substantive criticism," he stated.
