Nazeli Baghdasaryan Appointed Shirak Region Governor

According to a decision by the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nazeli Baghdasaryan has been appointed as the Governor of the Shirak region. This information was reported through the government's electronic platform.

"Guided by Part 2 of Article 160 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and Part 1 of Article 6 of the Law on Territorial Administration, the Government of the Republic of Armenia decides to appoint Nazeli Baghdasaryan as the Governor of the Shirak region," the decision states.

At the end of the previous month, she resigned from her mandate as a member of the ruling Civil Contract party faction. Meanwhile, the former governor, Hovhannes Harutyunyan, has been appointed today as the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure by the Prime Minister's decision.
