Moscow Exits Lockdown
Moscow will exit lockdown starting November 8, which was in effect from October 28, aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus. According to the BBC's Russian service, from today, theaters and museums in the Russian capital will reopen under the condition of mandatory QR codes and protective masks.
Restrictions will continue for unvaccinated citizens over the age of 60. At the same time, five Russian regions have decided to extend non-working days until November 13.
A new outbreak of COVID-19 has begun in Russia since the end of September. Authorities attribute this to low vaccination rates. In recent days, around 40,000 new cases of coronavirus have been detected daily, with the death toll exceeding 1,100 each day.
