Extraordinary Incident in Yerevan: Stranger Paid for Hot Meal with Counterfeit Banknote

According to Samshyan.com, materials are being prepared in the investigative department of the Arabkir division of the police following a report by Pohos Samsonyan, a resident of the Kotayk region, on November 7. As reported by a photojournalist, Samsonyan contacted the Arabkir police division and stated that on November 6, around 21:00, an unknown individual had deceived him and exploited his trust by paying for a delivery of hot meals with a €200 banknote at the administrative building of "Gazprom Armenia" located at 43 Tbilisi Highway. After the stranger left, he discovered the note was counterfeit.

The officers from the criminal investigation department of the Arabkir police who responded to the call established that the counterfeit banknote had been given to Samsonyan by Andranik Shaghoyan, a resident of one of the villages in the Ararat region. Police also found out that Shaghoyan is known in their village as "Andan, the 69 Shagho's guy." Necessary operational and investigative measures are being undertaken to locate "Andan, the 69 Shagho's guy."
