Do What Comes to Mind: Angela Merkel on Future Plans
Germany's acting chancellor Angela Merkel has stated that she has no clear plans for what she will do after leaving office, but assured that she will not be involved in politics. This was reported by RBC.
“I will not be resolving political conflicts. I have been doing that for many years—16 years... Right now, I still don’t know what I will do [after leaving office]. I have already said that first I will take a little rest, and then we’ll see what comes to mind,” she said.
At the same time, the acting chancellor confirmed that she plans to “read and sleep” after retiring.
