What Caused Ishkhan Zakaryan to Leave the Faction

According to the "Hraparak" newspaper, Ishkhan Zakaryan did not want to comment yesterday on our information that he is leaving the "Honorary Have" faction while retaining his mandate. When asked why he was leaving the opposition faction, he responded, "I am still remaining in the opposition, never doubt that I will not be in the opposition." However, those in the faction believe that the criminal case opened against him was a decisive factor.

Another reason, according to Zakaryan's close associates, is the processes aimed at creating a union between Armenia and Russia. Lukashenko and Putin recently signed a decree for a Union State. In the near future, efforts will be made to involve Armenia in this process, and Ishkhan Zakaryan is expected to play a certain role in it, utilizing his connections in Russia. He has indicated to close associates that he wants to have a free status to engage in this matter without being constrained by any party or coalition.
