Tiran Khachatryan Withdraws from Lawsuit Filed in Administrative Court

Tiran Khachatryan has withdrawn from the lawsuit numbered VD/3829/05/21 filed in the Administrative Court, as well as from all the demands stated in it. This was reported to Tert.am by Khachatryan's lawyer, Varuzhan Avetikhyan.

“This lawsuit lost its relevance since Arshak Karapetyan has been appointed as the Minister of Defense. Three lawsuits were present in the Administrative Court, and the previous two remain in effect,” the lawyer stated.

It is noteworthy that since May of this year, the case regarding the legality and lawfulness of the dismissal of Tiran Khachatryan, who holds the title of National Hero of Armenia and is a lieutenant general, from his position as the first deputy chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces was pending in the Administrative Court. The lawsuit demanded recognition of the absence of legal relations regarding the appointment of Arshak Karapetyan to the position of the first deputy chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces, against the President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
