UN Apologizes to President for Addressing Him as 'Armen Pashinyan'
According to 'Factinfo', the UN Climate Change Secretariat has sent an official letter to the President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, apologizing for addressing him incorrectly.
It is noteworthy that this occurred during the opening ceremony of the 26th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, when the conference facilitator invited the Armenian President to the podium, mistakenly introducing him with a different surname, 'Armen Pashinyan'.
The Presidential office confirmed our information, stating that the letter expresses regret regarding the incident and promises to take measures to avoid such mistakes in the future. The Secretariat also thanked the President of Armenia for his leadership and support for global efforts against climate change.
