How Much Is the Minimum Wage Expected to Increase?

The minimum wage in Armenia is set to rise, as announced today in the National Assembly.
“By 2026, it is planned to increase the minimum wage to 85,000 drams,” said Ruben Sargsyan, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs. He noted that the first step for 2023 is being discussed, and discussions are currently underway with partners from the Ministry of Finance.
Regarding the baseline, the deputy minister mentioned that this is the overall approach of the government.
“I know that the public service office is currently working on this, yes, the baseline has not been increased since 2014,” Sargsyan said.
