Court Partially Granted the Motion of Arush Arushanyan's Defenders
Today, during a court session at the Syunik Regional Court in Goris, the court partially granted the motion of the newly elected Goris community mayor, Arush Arushanyan's defenders.
The court decided to allow Arush Arushanyan to have visits with close relatives, while maintaining the ban on telephone calls and communications.
The court found it inadvisable to transfer Arush Arushanyan to the ‘Goris’ penitentiary. “As for transferring Arush Arushanyan to the ‘Goris’ penitentiary, the court does not find it advisable at this moment, considering the intensity of the hearings due to the court’s workload. In other words, the hearings at this stage are scheduled with considerable intervals, and at this time, there is no need for him to be in the area where the court is located to ensure his presence. Therefore, the court decided to reject the defenders’ motion regarding the transfer to the ‘Goris’ penitentiary,” the judge stated.
