Yerevan and Tehran Discuss Liberalization of Bilateral Transportation

Yerevan and Tehran are discussing the liberalization of bilateral transportation. This was stated today by Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan during a joint meeting of the National Assembly's permanent committees, where the draft state budget for 2022 was under discussion.

In response to questions from deputies, he recalled that in May of this year he had the opportunity to discuss this issue with Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mohammad Eslami.

“Discussions are currently underway. Our vehicles will be able to enter Iran and receive cargo from the Port of Bandar Abbas in the Persian Gulf, while we will reduce customs duties for Iranian vehicles. We already have a memorandum of understanding on this matter,” said Kerobyan.
