Samuel Babayan Targets the Army
The newspaper "Pats" reports: Former Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh, Samuel Babayan, has given an interview to a media outlet, addressing the 44-day war and its consequences. Babayan's statements regarding both this and the broader post-war period have generated significant dissatisfaction among the military personnel, volunteers, and reservists who participated in the war, as he blames them for the defeat to spare Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan from the situation.
Babayan has launched an immediate campaign against the army, using Pashinyan's media resources, in order to shield his failures, protect Pashinyan's reputation, and shift the blame for the defeat onto those who went to war for the defense of their homeland.
This has led to increased remembrance in Artsakh of the so-called "heroic deeds" for which Babayan himself is held responsible. Military personnel believe that the author of the so-called "Lele Tepe" operation, or as Babayan prefers to call it, "Kend Horadiz's operation," has no right to speak about the war, as elite units of the Armenian armed forces suffered unprecedented losses in the south due to his and Pashinyan's actions.
