Celebrations and Memorial Events Banned in Stepanakert

The Mayor of Stepanakert is set to sign a decision to impose quarantine due to the coronavirus. According to this decision, the measures and restrictions applied during the quarantine period are outlined below.

Individuals are instructed to self-isolate for 14 calendar days in the following cases:

1. In case of confirming the coronavirus disease if the individual is not subject to hospitalization.
2. Upon contact with a person confirmed to have the coronavirus disease, starting from the last day of contact.

If during the self-isolation period the presence of the infection is confirmed, the self-isolation is extended until the person's treatment or the confirmation of the absence of the infection.

Self-isolated individuals will be monitored.

Public events are prohibited, including:

1. Celebratory events (including birthdays, weddings, engagements) and memorial events, with the exception of funerals and memorial services attended by no more than 20 people.
2. Other events aimed at fulfilling social, cultural, educational, sporting, or other recreational needs (such as concerts, exhibitions, demonstrations, theatrical performances, other educational events).
3. Public events in enclosed spaces.

The implementation of these restrictions will be monitored by the police of the Republic of Artsakh, the authorized body, and the community.

Visits to institutions providing long-term care and mental health organizations are allowed only in the absence of active cases of the coronavirus and provided sanitary and epidemiological safety rules are adhered to.

Across the entire community, personal protective measures will be applied according to the list established by the authorized body and the manner of implementation. The conduct of certain types of economic activities, provision of services, and the operation of organizations not engaged in economic activities will only be permitted in compliance with the relevant sanitary and epidemiological safety rules set by the authorized body. Monitoring of compliance with these regulations will be established in accordance with the law.

Gatherings are allowed only if the personal protective measures specified in point 7 of this appendix are applied and a minimum distance of 1.5 meters is maintained between individuals.
