The Public Will Continue to Struggle with Meager Pensions and Salaries: 'Hraparak'

According to 'Hraparak', it was known long ago that the government increased public debt to provide pensions, benefits, and salaries. In a conversation with us yesterday, Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan admitted that public debt has exceeded 60% of GDP, reaching 63.5%, and they must find a way to reduce this threshold next year. However, they plan to do this not by cutting the salaries of high-ranking officials and the costs of the apparatus, but by taking on new debt and not increasing social expenditures—pensions, benefits, or salaries.

In other words, officials will continue to enjoy the benefits of the budget without sacrificing any comforts, while the public will keep 'going along' with their meager pensions and salaries.
