Ministry of Education Press Secretary on Possible Extension of Holidays

As previously reported, the autumn vacation in schools was extended by another week due to the pandemic.

Gegham Melikbekyan, the press secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, stated in an interview with Factor.am that there has been no new decision regarding the extension of the holiday in schools. “We are working according to the old decision. According to that, schools will reopen on Monday,” emphasized the spokesperson.

When asked if there are any discussions about extending the holidays, Melikbekyan noted that there have been none thus far. It is also worth mentioning that universities have shifted to remote learning until November 15 due to COVID-19.
