European Court Accepts Appeal in Patron Davit Case

The European Court has accepted the appeal of businessman Davit Galustyan, represented by his lawyer Armen Harutyunyan. This was stated by Harutyunyan in an interview with 'Hraparak.'

It is noteworthy that Davit Galustyan is charged in two different criminal cases, and this appeal pertains to the first case, in which he was arrested at the beginning of the year.

The lawyer also conveyed: 'The questions we have raised so far will be given a final evaluation.'

Recall that Davit Galustyan was arrested on February 1, and was subsequently detained on February 2, before being released in May. The National Security Service of Armenia reported that Davit Galustyan, who is the chairman of the board of the company 'Mosston Engineering,' registered abroad, had allegedly supplied defective ammunition to the Ministry of Defense in 2018, in agreement with the company’s director, A.B. According to the NSS, these shells produced between 1983 and 1986 failed to resolve combat issues, but Galustyan received a payment of $1,083,000 for them.
