What is Happening in the Armenian Gasoline Market: The Head of the Competition Protection Commission Provides Details

The Competition Protection Commission of Armenia is examining the country's gasoline market. The head of the Commission, Gegham Gevorgyan, announced this during a press briefing with reporters today at the National Assembly.

“However, there is currently no data on the latest price increases, as the data will be summarized after the quarter concludes (if it is imported from the EAEU). After we receive this data, we will definitely make a record. If we see characteristics of legal violations, we will initiate a proceeding and publish the results of the investigation. If we find that there are no signs of legal violations, we will publish the results of our study, which we have always done. You and the public will then be able to review and assess whether the study is objective or not,” Gevorgyan stated.

It is noteworthy that in the last ten days of October, another increase in gasoline prices was recorded in Armenia: the price of premium gasoline rose from 500-520 dram to 520-540 dram, the price of regular gasoline increased from 500 dram to 510-520 dram, and the price of diesel fuel rose from 480 dram to 500 dram.
