The Enemy is Establishing Themselves Over Goris: Engineering Works Underway on Kachahl Mountain, Says Deputy Mayor

The enemy is conducting fortification works on the section known as Kachahl Mountain, establishing themselves over Goris. In a conversation with "Factinfo," Goris Deputy Mayor Karen Kocharyan stated that these fortification activities are even visible from the center of Goris. "In fact, what the media has reported is immediately evident from Goris; the adversary is setting up fortifications on that mountain," he conveyed.

In our interview, Karen Kocharyan noted that the adversary has been engaged in fortification works for a considerable amount of time, but he is unaware of what kind of equipment is being used. According to the deputy mayor, the enemy's fortification activities are causing concern among the local population. "With the adversary sitting right over the heads of the population, engaged in fortification, what will be our situation, the citizens' situation? The fortifications are visible every day, and anyone with a sense of security looks at that mountain—what should they feel?" Kocharyan asked.

When asked if the Armenian side is undertaking efforts to strengthen their positions, Karen Kocharyan replied negatively. "Nothing visible is being done; I am not authorized to respond, but nothing visible is being achieved." In response to the assertion that the government assured that the adversary is not conducting any fortification works in our area, Karen Kocharyan remarked, "All of this is visible; what else can I explain? I cannot say whether the authorities are lying or engaging in manipulation; I cannot say," Kocharyan concluded.
