Proposal to Grant Monthly Bonuses of 90-120% of Salary to the Prosecutor General and Four Deputies
The Ministry of Justice proposes to grant monthly bonuses ranging from 90-120% of salary to the Prosecutor General of Armenia and his deputies. This information has been reported by Tert.am, citing the unified website for the publication of draft legal acts, where the Ministry of Justice has presented the draft for public discussion.
According to the draft, the positions of the Prosecutor General and his four deputies are classified as particularly risky and requiring specialization. The highest coefficient of 120% has been established for the deputy coordinating the work of the division overseeing the legality of pre-trial proceedings at the Anti-Corruption Committee. For the deputy coordinating the functions related to the confiscation of illegally acquired property, the bonus is set at 90%, while the bonus for the Prosecutor General's deputy is set at 100%. The prosecutor overseeing the legality of pre-trial proceedings at the Anti-Corruption Committee is also entitled to a 100% bonus.
It is noteworthy that according to the law on the remuneration of persons holding public positions and civil service positions, the salary coefficient for the Prosecutor General is 15, with a basic salary of 66,140 drams, leading to a monthly salary of approximately 992,100 drams after taxes. For the deputies, a coefficient of 11 is applied, with a monthly salary of about 727,540 drams.
If this decision is approved, the bonuses will be provided each month along with the salary. In its justification, the Ministry of Justice states that a change has been made to the law on remuneration for persons holding public and civil service positions.
