It Is Unacceptable to Stop Work in the Overloaded Healthcare System, Says Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health, responding to the protest action by several drivers of the 6th ambulance station in Yerevan, emphasizes that it is unacceptable to temporarily halt work in the current overloaded healthcare system. This statement was released by the ministry on its Facebook page.

“At the same time, the Ministry of Health continues to cooperate with the Yerevan City Hall and is ready to listen to and discuss the proposals from the city hall that will be aimed at resolving the issue. We are also confident that the city hall will ensure the normal operation of the ambulance '1-03' service,” the post stated.

Since morning, the drivers of the 6th ambulance station have been staging a protest. The reason is their low salaries and heavy work schedules. According to them, they receive 30-40 calls a day, while their salaries remain unchanged. Due to the demanding nature of their work, they do not even have time to eat.
