Hovik Aghazaryan Proposes Administrative Measures for Citizens Leaving Stores Without Receipts

Hovik Aghazaryan, a member of the National Assembly from the 'Civil Contract' faction, raised a question to the head of the State Revenue Committee, Rustam Badasyan, asking whether it is possible to implement a regulation that would impose administrative measures on citizens exiting shopping centers or stores without a receipt.

Rustam Badasyan responded that such a move would be feasible only if their budget were 100 times larger. “In other words, implementing such an administrative measure would require the SRC to have approximately 100,000 employees to carry it out. The question arises whether this is effective or not,” noted the head of the SRC.

He also commented on having experienced a situation himself where he wasn’t issued a cash register receipt. “It is quite evident that there is shadow economy and a significant number of administrative issues, but that does not mean there is no growth being recorded,” Badasyan remarked.
