Daredevil Car Crash in Yerevan: 29-Year-Old Driver Collides with Concrete Barrier and Lands in Ravine

Today, on November 2, a daredevil car crash occurred in Yerevan. Around 09:40, 29-year-old Artur Melkonyan, a resident of Yerevan, lost control of his Toyota Corolla on Vilnius Street under yet unexplained circumstances. His vehicle veered off the roadway, collided with a concrete curb, and subsequently fell into a ravine, hitting earth mounds and finally a metal fence.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, following the incident, A. Melkonyan was transported to the Erebuni Medical Center for medical assistance. The medical team responded promptly.

The traffic police in Yerevan were informed of the accident, and the investigation and administrative procedures division dispatched a duty group led by division head Grigor Avetisyan and senior investigator Gegham Tsarukyan. Investigative materials are being prepared by G. Tsarukyan regarding the incident.
