Ambulance Drivers Stage Protest Over Working Conditions
Drivers from the 6th unit of the ambulance service have organized a protest. The drivers are voicing their concerns about their work schedules and salaries. They report that one driver handles 30-40 calls a day.
The drivers are demanding a meeting with representatives from the city hall, specifically with Mayor Hayk Marutyan.
Other drivers from different units have also expressed their desire to join the protesting drivers. “After working 24 hours, the next morning we think about where else we can work so we can support our families. Why shouldn't we be compensated fairly, so we don't have to think about finding another job? There isn’t such a low salary anywhere in the world,” said one of the drivers.
