VIDEO: "No One Can Advise Me" Says NSS Deputy Director to Journalist
During discussions on the draft state budget for 2022 held in parliament, journalists directed several questions to Aram Hakobyan, the Deputy Director of the National Security Service (NSS), regarding the situation in Syunik. The NSS Deputy Director only responded to two of the questions.
He assured that everything is normal in Paylazar: "There are no changes in Paylazar. The commander of the border troops was here the day before and answered the questions. We have no changes there." He also confirmed that the Goriss-Kapan highway is very safe: "Yes, it is safe. I traveled just the other day, it is very safe. True, representatives of the neighboring state are standing there, but they do not stop Armenian citizens at all."
When asked how the situation in Paylazar remains unchanged if, according to numerous claims, the Russian military has descended from their positions, and how the Goriss-Kapan highway can be considered safe if Azerbaijani forces had recently stopped, insulted, and assaulted an Armenian citizen's vehicle, Aram Hakobyan replied with a single sentence: "I am not aware." He also mentioned that he hasn't seen the video involving the mentioned citizen. In response to journalists' remarks that he had been advised not to speak, he asserted, "No one can advise me," and left, completely ignoring all other questions.
