Video: Our Situation is Painful, but This is the Reality - Sanosyan on Putin's Painful Solutions
The Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan, does not deny that, yes, the situation in Armenia is painful.
“But this is our reality; we have found ourselves in this reality, and an important part of this reality is living peacefully, standing up, developing the economy, the army, and so on. The clarification of our borders plays a crucial role in this, so that we do not constantly have border disputes,” said Sanosyan in a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly.
He noted, however, that there is no need to fear or avoid a “painful” phenomenon. “Even if there can be some painful issues in one or two places, it is better to fix that painful problem and keep it in mind than to have incidents every day,” the minister stated.
He emphasized the need to clarify borders and develop within the borders that we have.
When asked which maps would be used to clarify our borders, the minister said that there are different maps, but what is essential is the legal status of those maps. “These maps, if they are from the Soviet era, must be legally clarified and accepted by all parties to serve as a basis,” Gnel Sanosyan added.
