No Tents Serving as Sleeping Quarters in the Eastern Border Zone; Cabins Installed, Commander

In the Eastern border zone of Armenia, climate-adapted soldiers are carrying out combat duty, constantly monitoring while serving in rainy conditions. The military media is capturing footage from the positions. The commander of the military unit, Artur Gharibyan, reported that engineering works are ongoing, mainly focused on road construction. According to him, "We have fully completed the outfitting of combat positions; the personnel are located in stone shelters and underground cabins." Supplies, food, and ammunition have been stored throughout the entire chain of outposts.

The shelters have recently been replaced—there are no tents serving as sleeping quarters in this section of the eastern border; cabins have been installed instead. "Everywhere there are modular cabins; tents serve as storage facilities, dining areas, and security points," said Stepan Khachatryan, the deputy commander of the battalion.

In some parts of the mountains, the enemy has advanced and taken control of Armenian territory. Armenian units on the left and right sides consistently monitor the enemy soldiers and vehicles approaching them. The enemy spends the night in tents without additional fortifications. So far, the work has been done manually, without the intervention of machinery.

Squad commander Artur Baghdasaryan reported that incoming and outgoing vehicles are bringing food and wood, but no machinery has worked. The Azerbaijanis are using a dirt road that descends from the villages of Vardenis to Karvachar. Armenia does not permit machinery to enter the area.

"In the protective zone, no concrete, reinforced concrete, or road construction work is carried out in the recessed sections because we do not allow it. They know that we will not permit it, and so they don’t even try to do it. The enemy remains in tents in the recessed area," he stated. The Azerbaijanis are conducting construction works, but further away, while Armenian machinery is operating to open and expand roads leading to the frontline.
