Missing Teenagers Found in Artsakh: A Night-Long Search

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh reported that on October 31 at 20:09, an alert was received at the crisis management center of the Emergency Situations Service, as well as at the duty section of the police. It was reported that around 18:00, two residents of Stepanakert, 16-year-old K.S. and 17-year-old A.P., had gone missing in a forested area near the village of Khndzoresk.

Both are athletes who had crossed a bypass road and lost their bearings due to fog. To conduct search operations, rescue and police teams, headed by the Director of the Emergency Situations Service, Mekhak Arzumanyan, and the head of the Stepanakert Police Department, Boris Jalavyan, were dispatched to the area.

Communication with the boys was intermittently possible, which was expected to facilitate the search process. However, due to darkness and fog, they were unable to provide accurate information about their location. Search operations continued throughout the night in geographically challenging terrain. Unfortunately, the efforts yielded no results during the night.

After approximately 15 hours of searching, the boys were found today at 13:25 and were transported back to Stepanakert. Their health is reported to be stable and not in danger.
