Gunshots in Yerevan: 41-Year-Old Man Dies En Route to Hospital with Gunshot Wounds

On November 1, a murder involving the use of firearms occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 2:10 AM, the Medical Center "Saint Astvatsamayr" informed the operational management center of the RA Police that they had brought in a man who was dead.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, police officials including Sevan Kocharyan, the head of Yerevan Police, Arthur Zakaryan, his deputy for operational matters, and Hovhannes Aristakesyan, head of the criminal investigation unit, immediately headed to the hospital. An operational team from the Shengavit Department of Police, led by Karen Buniatyan, also arrived on the scene.

Authorities have determined that the deceased was 41-year-old Khachaturo Sahakyan, a resident of the Shengavit administrative district in Yerevan. According to investigators from the Investigative Committee of Armenia, who joined the police team, a conflict occurred near 43 Karmir Blur at around 1:30 AM on the same day. During this altercation, an unidentified assailant fired at Kh. Sahakyan with an unspecified firearm, resulting in his fatal gunshot wounds while en route to the hospital.

Police and investigators subsequently traveled to the crime scene, where they conducted an examination of the area.
