Collision between 'Opel Astra' and 'Mitsubishi Pajero' near the statue of Myasnikyan; the latter caught fire
On November 1, at 03:52, a call was received by the National Crisis Management Center regarding a traffic accident in front of the Yerevan Municipality; there are injured individuals.
A firefighting and rescue team from the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was revealed that at the beginning of Italy Street, next to the statue of Alexander Myasnikyan, a collision occurred between an 'Opel Astra' (driver: G. V.) and a 'Mitsubishi Pajero' (driver: N. M.), resulting in the 'Mitsubishi Pajero' catching fire. The fire spread to a nearby guard post.
Before the rescuers arrived, passengers H. H., I. S., and E. S. from the 'Mitsubishi Pajero' were hospitalized at the Heratsi Hospital Complex No. 1, where H. H. and E. S. received appropriate medical assistance and were discharged, while I. S. was transferred to the National Burn Center, where the injured person's health condition was assessed as satisfactory.
The rescuers disabled the 'Opel Astra', closed the gas cylinder valve, and conducted monitoring until the liquefied gas from the 'Mitsubishi Pajero' was released. The fire was isolated at 04:09 and extinguished at 04:20. The interior of the 'Mitsubishi Pajero' and about 3 square meters of the external covering of the guard post were burned.
