Artsakh Implements Stricter Measures

The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, convened an expanded working consultation on November 1 to address the epidemiological situation prevailing in the republic, as reported by the President's Office.

The Minister of Health of Artsakh, Mikayel Hayriyan, presented the briefing. According to him, the cases of COVID-19 infection had increased nearly tenfold in October of the current year, and the Ministry of Health currently possesses sufficient medical supplies to organize the fight against the pandemic. However, the minister noted that to achieve success, it is necessary to consider the best practices from around the world; otherwise, the efforts made may not yield the desired results.

The country's leader expressed significant concern regarding the dynamic increase in infection cases and emphasized the authorities' determination to tighten the existing restrictions for that purpose. In this regard, President Harutyunyan issued a series of directives which will take effect starting November 2.
