Hohikyan also addressed another fact that followed the episode he presented: how Pashinyan described Aliyev as "polite" and "constructive" after the meeting in Dushanbe.

"As an expert studying the field for 15 years, and as a representative of the sector, I realized that a journalistic manipulation was occurring, aimed at 'washing' people's brains to change the attitude towards the enemy both in Armenia and the Diaspora," he stated.

The journalist also mentioned that he had received information at that time suggesting that an agreement had been reached between Pashinyan and Aliyev to hand over at least a few regions of Artsakh within two years as the first phase. According to his commentary, these and several facts indicate that the outcome of the war was already clear before it began.

"In the spring of 2021, I received clear information that in January 2019, some representatives of Armenia met with certain representatives of Turkey, where Turkey stipulated an investment of 5 billion Turkish dollars in the Armenian economy in exchange for Karvachar, Shushi, and the Araks Valley, after which the borders would gradually open. You can already see that there is a gradual process of border opening underway; the authorities of Armenia and Turkey are gradually speaking about mutual positive signals, and steps are being taken to escalate the anti-Russian sentiment in Armenia to a level where the Russian factor will be removed from Armenia, after which the border with Turkey will be opened swiftly," Hohikyan remarked.
