Seyran Ohanyan Not Allowed to Access State Secrets Related to War
According to Aram Vardevanyan, a member of the "Armenia" faction, a parliamentary inquiry commission has not been established regarding the calamity of the 44-day war because the permanent commission on defense and security has a decisive commitment not to elect Artur Ghazinyan. "Such issues are not of importance to anyone," Vardevanyan told reporters at the National Assembly.
He stated that it is clear that the Chairman of the Permanent Commission on Defense and Security, Andranik Kocharyan, is somewhat constrained, as he was an advocate of the thesis "We will win."
“It is clear, isn’t it, that with the signing of the document on November 9, the disaster of the 44-day war has passed with the direct involvement of this person, which is why they are avoiding the creation of an inquiry commission,” the MP said.
Seyran Ohanyan, the leader of the "Armenia" faction, also stated that he has not been allowed to access state secret materials regarding the 44-day war, while he has no issues concerning the confidentiality of the results of the commission created regarding the April war.
“I was one of the first to present those documents requesting that permission be granted, but for various reasons, that permission has not been given to me. However, I believe that I possess information of greater significance than that permission, which I keep, having reconciled with my conscience and mind,” he said.
