School Break Will Not Be Extended to Avoid Crowded Places Like Cinemas, Deputy Minister of Education Addresses Parents
The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasyan, posted on her Facebook page:
“Dear parents,
Today’s published figures revealed that we have children who are ill with COVID-19, and some are experiencing severe cases. Unfortunately, there has also been a recorded death.
The school break has been extended, and colleges and vocational schools have switched to remote learning. This is being done to reduce movement and break the chain of infection. This can only be achieved if we also ensure that children avoid crowded places as much as possible.
The school break will not be extended for children to go to cinemas or other crowded places instead of school. I am sure you will agree that, in that case, it is better for them to attend school.”
