Nazeli Baghdasaryan, Secretary of the Civil Contract Faction, Resigns

The Secretary of the Civil Contract faction in the National Assembly of Armenia, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, has submitted her resignation from her parliamentary mandate. This announcement was made by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian.

According to Article 155, Part 1 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, Nazeli Baghdasaryan submitted her resignation request on October 29.

As per Article 155, Part 2 of the same law, if the member of Parliament withdraws their resignation request in writing within a week after the announcement of the resignation, the Speaker of the National Assembly will issue a statement regarding this. If the MP does not withdraw the resignation request, a record of the suspension of their powers will be drawn up, signed, and published by the Speaker of the National Assembly. From the moment the record is published, the resignation is considered accepted.
