Major Accident in Yerevan: 8 Injured in Collision of Three Cars
On October 28, a serious traffic accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 10:50 PM, vehicles driven by local residents collided at the address of Tevosyan Street 1/11. The cars involved were an Opel driven by 42-year-old Arthur Geghamyan, a Mercedes driven by 42-year-old Arsen Avetisyan, and a Toyota driven by 37-year-old Hovik Khandanyan from Gegharkunik Province.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, passengers in the Toyota—36-year-old Lianna Khandanyan, 44-year-old Silva Avetisyan, 38-year-old Armine Poghosyan, and 30-year-old Sona Muradyan—sustained injuries along with the driver of the Mercedes and his passengers. The latter included 41-year-old Narine Avetisyan, 41-year-old Lusine Tadevosyan, and 42-year-old Yeghia Mesropyan. All injured individuals were transported to hospitals, with some taken to Abovyan and others to Yerevan University Hospital No. 1.
Rescuers disconnected the vehicles from power and closed the gas tanks. The incident has been reported to the traffic accident investigation department of the Yerevan city police. Materials are being prepared regarding the incident.
