Major Accident on Yerevan-Gyumri Highway: 4 Injured
Today, on October 27, a major car accident occurred in the Aragatsotn region. At approximately 12:50, vehicles including a Volkswagen Jetta and a VAZ 2107 collided on the 20 km stretch of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, four individuals received first aid from doctors who arrived promptly from the Ashtarak medical center and were then transported to the facility.
Responding swiftly to the scene were officers from the 1st platoon of the 2nd company of the traffic police, led by platoon commander Vache Malakyan and squad commander Granta Galstyan. Senior investigators Vahagn Eloyan and Karen Davtyan from the same company also arrived at the scene.
Investigation materials are being prepared by K. Davtyan regarding the incident. The police are working to establish the identities of the drivers and the injured parties. The photojournalist reported that the VAZ 2107, which bore Russian license plates, overturned as a result of the collision.
