According to Samshyan.com, on October 26, based on operational information received at the Arabkirk police department, the police conducted a special operation named "Even if you are in the afterlife, we will find you." After receiving the operational data, the police went to the cemetery in Zovuni village to carry out the operation.
According to the media, the police detained 37-year-old Arthur Asryan, registered in the Ajapnyak administrative district of Yerevan, from the mentioned cemetery. During the operation, an "AKM" type assault rifle was discovered with him, along with one magazine containing 30 rounds of 7.62 mm caliber ammunition. Had the police not acted professionally and promptly, it is not ruled out that Asryan would have used the firearm.
The seized assault rifle has been confiscated, and a forensic examination has been ordered.
