Avanesyan Visits Newborn of Mother Who Died from COVID-19 on October 12

The Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, visited the Muratsan University Hospital Complex today. She was accompanied by the rector of Yerevan State Medical University, Armen Muradyan. This information was reported by the public relations department of the university.

During the visit, the Minister toured the hospital, learned about the activities of the clinics, and visited the newborn of a mother who died from COVID-19 on October 12, showing concern for the baby's health condition.

During the visit, attention was focused on the rise in hospitalizations due to coronavirus and acute respiratory infections among children, as well as the treatment process of the patients. ‘From hospitalization to discharge, our university hospital operates on a 24/7 basis, with efforts directed primarily towards improving the quality of medical care and maintaining patients' health. Our hospital complex, equipped with the latest medical equipment, provides outpatient care to over 20,000 patients annually and inpatient care to more than 10,000 patients,’ the statement said.
