Armenian Ambassador Discusses Goris-Kapan Alternative Road with Iranian Minister

Armenian Ambassador to Iran A. Tumanyan met with the Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Rostam Qassemi. During the meeting, they discussed the Goris-Kapan alternative road, the construction works of the North-South highway, and the "Persian Gulf-Black Sea" transport corridor.

Both parties emphasized the importance of implementing these projects. Noting that the construction works for the Goris-Kapan alternative road are nearing completion, Ambassador Tumanyan highlighted the major road construction program launched in Armenia since 2022 and stressed the potential for Iranian companies to participate in this program.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Qassemi expressed gratitude to Ambassador Tumanyan for his work, conveying the Iranian side's readiness for cooperation, and hoped that Armenian-Iranian collaboration would continue in the future with the realization of new projects.
