Arman Abovyan Urges Transparency on Positive Signals Sent to Turkey

Former MP Arman Abovyan writes: “The political courtship between the Armenian and Turkish authorities is proceeding according to classical rules. It is interesting to observe how both Turkish and Armenian officials send each other metaphorical air kisses, otherwise known as 'positive signals.' Initially, the Armenian authorities spoke about the Turkish 'positive signals' but did not elaborate on what these mysterious signals were and why they are considered positive.

Today, Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu emphasized that Turkey has indeed received many promising 'positive signals' from the Armenian authorities.

Men, what kind of 'positive signals' are you directing at the Turks and receiving back from them? I do not want to draw any conclusions just yet, but if you do not clearly explain what processes you are generating in Armenian-Turkish relations, this incomprehensible veil over your actions will undoubtedly lead to very negative consequences.

Do not be ashamed, men, do not be upset, tell the people what 'positive signals' you have sent to the Turks. Lighten your hearts.
