Who is Exempt from the Mask-Wearing Obligation: Clarification from the Ministry of Health

Wearing masks in enclosed spaces is mandatory for everyone, except for the following:

  1. Children aged 0-5 years inclusive.
  2. Individuals at their place of residence (home, apartment).
  3. Participants and speakers at ceremonial events conducted under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Armenia, the Catholicos of All Armenians, the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the National Assembly, the President of the Constitutional Court, and the Chair of the Supreme Judicial Council (excluding journalists and service personnel).
  4. Those traveling in personal vehicles (except when providing irregular passenger transport).
  5. Individuals performing sign language interpretation during television broadcasts.
  6. Individuals with varying degrees of hearing and speech impairments (who perceive speech by following lip movements) and those assisting them.
  7. During smoking, drinking, and eating.
  8. Other cases specified by sanitary rules established by the Minister of Health.
  9. Television presenters when alone in the broadcast studio.
  10. Individuals with mental disorders and behavioral issues.
  11. Individuals with cognitive impairments.
  12. Individuals with facial injuries or those who have undergone oral and maxillofacial interventions.
