US Recommends Covid-19 Vaccination for Children Aged 5 to 11: The New York Times
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recommended vaccinating children aged 5 to 11 against Covid-19, according to The New York Times.
According to the publication, 17 out of 18 experts believe that the benefits of the Pfizer vaccine outweigh the risks of potential side effects. Peter Marks, head of the regulatory body for vaccines, stated that nearly 2 million children in the US aged 5 to 11 have contracted the virus.
Reports indicate that vaccinations could begin as early as November and will be available for 28 million children.
